Asit Sodha, our Liberal Democrat candidate polled 240 votes in Thursdays delayed North Evington by-election from a field of 9 candidates in the Leicester East constituency ward. The final tally placed the Liberal Democrats in 4th place in the ward election. The Labour Party candidate won
with 3306 votes.
