Aylestone Ward's Liberal Democrat Councillor, Nigel Porter has been quoted this week in the UK National press as the continued lockdown in Leicester City and neighbouring Oadby and Wigston Borough takes place. Several areas of neighbouring suburbs were lifted out of the lockdown this week.
Leicester continues to be in the news headlines both nationally and internationally with a bad press image, with news of sweat shop exploitation and a row continuing between Charles Street and Westminster concerning data information in the fight against COVID-19 and the re-drawing of the lockdown map.
