Leicester City Mayor, Labour's Sir Peter Soulsby today was called on to resign his post after a national tabloid newspaper allegedly exposed him breaking lockdown regulations by visiting his partner living in another part of Leicestershire.
Aylestone Ward Lib Dem Councillor, Nigel Porter said the allegations were "truly shocking, he should be leading by example but his behaviour has been despicable and selfish. one rule for him and another for the rest of us is it?
He needs to fall on his sword and step down and the police should investigate this."
