Leicester City Liberal Democrats would like to congratulate our colleagues in Richmond Park for their successful election bid for PPC Sarah Olney in yesterday's Richmond Park Parliamentary By-election. The Liberal Democrats now have 9 MPs and have re-taken a seat held by the party between 1997 and 2010.
A team effort has overturned a 23000 majority held by the previous MP, Zac Goldsmith into a Liberal Democrat majority of 1872.
We wish every success to Sarah in her new role.
