Eyres Monsell Ward By-Election: 23% Swing to Liberal Democrats

The Liberal Democrats in Leicester are pleased the party made progress in the recent Eyres Monsell Ward By-Election held last Thursday 23rd November. Local Resident, Tony Faithfull-Wright stood as candidate for the Liberal Democrats securing 320 votes and 30% of the vote share on 12.4% turnout.

Importantly for the party this was a swing of 23% to the Liberal Democrats since the 2015 Full City Council elections held on the same day as the General Election.

Around the Region and country there have been significant swings in recent times to the Liberal Democrats.

More people are returning to the Liberal Democrats for support and Representation.
