Eyres Monsell Ward. Leicester City Council Consultation. The Newry Area 20mph zone

Eyres Monsell's Liberal Democrat Ward campaigners Christopher Garner and Scott Kennedy-Lount are aware of a new Leicester City Council consultation concerning traffic calming measures around the Saffron Estate area in Eyres Monsell Ward.

Details of the consultation which begin on the 15th September will run until 9th October.

The consultation brief includes proposals to reduce the speed limits on Stonesby Avenue, Windley Road and surrounding streets from 30 to 20mph.

In addition to help reduce speeds, improve road safety and discourage through traffic the City Council propose to install traffic calming on Windley Road between Attlee Way and Stonesby Avenue and on Stonesby Avenue outside Holy Cross School Primary School.
