Let us think for a moment of the local wildlife that probably now has difficulty too; navigating this stretch of their natural habitat of the backwaters of the River Soar, where a double mattress and a shopping trolley has been dumped recently into the waterway between the Great Central Way and Britton Street.

Leicester City Council has been informed of this incident by members of the Leicester City Liberal Democrats.
