Campaigners Manesh Parmer & Josh Ramji have warned residents, "If you can, shred bills, receipts and credit-or debit-card slips, bank statements or even junk mail."

It has come to our attention that some wheelie bins left out the evening before bin collection day are being wheeled away during the early hours of the morning in other parts of the city - This could easily spread to Belgrave.

The police suggest this could be criminals, who rumble through your rubbish to try and steal identity and personal information. Criminals can then use the personal details to open bank accounts and get credit cards, loans, state benefits and documents such as passports and driving licenses in your name.

Local residents and campaigners Manesh Parmer & Josh Ramji have warned, "Don't throw away bills, receipts and credit-or debit-card slips, bank statements or even junk mail in your name. Destroy them, if you can, by using a shredder."
