Litter wardens issued an on-the-spot fine of £80 to the Labour Councillor for throwing a cigarette butt on the ground outside Leicester's Town Hall.

One of Leicester's Labour Cabinet members, who in the past has supported a litter crackdown in the City centre has ironically been fined himself .... for littering!

Litter wardens issued an on-the-spot fine of £80 to the Labour Councillor for throwing a cigarette butt on the ground outside Leicester's Town Hall.

Local press have stated that In the past 12 months, wardens have given out more than 250 fixed penalty notices for offences such as littering, leaving out wheelie bins on pavements and dog owners who refused to clear their dogs foul.
