Lib Dem Birstall Councillor Fights for a New School

Today, Cllr Simon Sansome handed in a petition to Leicestershire County Council with over 250 signatures calling for a new school in Hallam Fields. The area has been promised a new primary school since the developments started several years ago. Section 106 contributions have been put aside for it, but still no school delivered.

"This new school was promised years ago but nothing has been delivered" said Simon, "This petition serves as a reminder that the residents in Hallam Fields have not forgotten and are still waiting for the Council to fulfill their promise!"

The signature was handed in earlier today and the Council have promised to respond shortly.
