Save Desford Library!

Conservative-run Leicestershire County Council is looking at closing Desford Library unless the volunteer group, who are offering to run it for free, take financial responsibility for £45,000 worth of repairs. Following advice from their solicitor, the volunteers are refusing to take on this £45,000 financial liability.
Volunteers offering to run Council services should not have such unreasonable burdens on them. If volunteers are to take over Council services, the Council needs to support them, not load them with financial liabilities!
