Eyres Monsell Ward. Tony Faithfull-Wright calls for temporary premises for the future of Eyres Monsell's Post Office.

Six months after Liberal Democrat Candidate and Eyres Monsell resident Tony Faithfull-Wright secured 30% of the vote in Eyres Monsell's by-election he has called upon Labour run Leicester City Council to work tirelessly for a solution in the stalemate of the development in The Exchange and the current Post Office arrangements citing the open and derilict position as both a security risk and an access problem.

Aylestone Ward. Aylestone deserves better.

As the Labour controlled council propose plans to open up Putney Road at its junction with Aylestone Road, local people in Aylestone are concerned this new road scheme will have a detrimental effect on the community in terms of extra traffic, congestion and pollution. Cyclists and pedestrians could be less safe and journey times will increased due to the additional junction on Aylestone Road.

Aylestone Ward Councillor Nigel Porter: "Cover up the back of the Corn Exchange with Trellis, Ivy and Other Plants

Leicester City Council are expected to spend between £1.8million and £2 million on renovating the back of the Corn Exchange in Leicester's Market Place in the coming weeks. The current back of the building appears in a sorry state since the demolition of the Indoor Market. The plan is to place a large screen to cover up, vents, ducts and fire escapes.
