Eyres Monsell Post Office. Chris and Scott ask: Will the new opening times be fair in comparison with future provision in other Leicester City Wards?

Chris Garner and Scott Kennedy-Lount, Eyres Monsell Liberal Democrats Focus Team Campaigners have written to the Post Office in its consultation process with concerns about the level of service offered in Eyres Monsell when its services are expected to move into the Monsell Pharmacy on The Exchange should it go ahead in the Spring.

Tories Forced to make U-turn on Bus Subsidies

The Tory group on Leicestershire County Council made a surprise announcement at yesterday's budget meeting when they withdrew plans to cut £1.3 million in bus subsidies. This would have led to the discontinuation of any bus that did not currently operate on a purely commercial basis except Park and Ride Services. It is estimated that one third of Leicestershire's buses would have disappeared.
