The Focus team in the Leicester South consituency welcome the news that repair orders have been made to make good the appalling state of the carraigeway at various intervals on Burnmoor Street in Castle Ward following a report made by Liberal Democrat members to Leicester City Council.
Residents of Broughton Road and Melland Place will be interested to know that the series of potholes that are forming along Broughton Road have recently been reported by the Focus team in the Leicester South constituency.
Residents living in close proximity to the junction at The Fairway, Brookfield Rise and Stanton Row will recently have noticed work carried out by Leicester City Council to repair the carriageway that had been plagued by a series of potholes at various intervals.
Following a statement from the County Council about the reconsidering options for changes to Bus routes in the County, in the light of 1500 consultation responses, Bill Boulter CC a member of the Bus panel had the following to say:
As promised, Liberal Democrat County Councillors have been working hard monitoring the impact of a Bus Review launched earlier in the year. The bus review that the County Council conducted was designed to achieve around £750,000 of savings from public transport. It was a cross party review but the Lib Dems on the panel insisted that the panel must be reconvened at a later date to discuss the results of the public consultation.
Barely two weeks after they voted against a similar set of proposals from the Liberal Democrats to imporve roads, County Tories finally proposed a package of measures that make a small use of a projected £13m underspend and £110m reserves. Liberal Democrats added the following submission welcoming the move and the acceptance of our arguments all along.
